NVTC and ThinkSmart launch “Smart Coders” initiative

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Nasser Vocational Training Center and ThinkSmart Group for Development and Training today launched the “Smart Programmers” initiative during a press conference held at the center’s headquarters.

The CEO of the center, Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al-Nuaimi, confirmed that the center operates in accordance with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. minister. He also praised the close follow-up of His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to transform Bahrain into a leading academic center that attracts students and provides them with the necessary skills. .

Dr. Al Nuaimi added that the “Smart Programmers” initiative stems from Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a center for providing competencies to the local, regional and international labor market by training them in programming languages. He pointed out that the youth initiative, which targets both sexes, aims to train 10,000 Bahrainis over a period of five years in the field of programming.

ThinkSmart CEO Ahmed Atiyatullah Al-Hujairi said that the program aims to provide international programmers due to the growing demand in this regard. He added that the initiative enables Bahraini youth to acquire technical and administrative skills to obtain jobs that suit their qualifications. He indicated that the classrooms will be ready for training and that there will be a graduation project for each group and a competition that will be held at the end of the year. He indicated that companies will be provided with information about students to pave the way for suitable job opportunities for graduates.
