NSSA’s Senior Space Data Analyst wins ‘Woman Innovator of the Year Award’

New Delhi, April 9 (BNA): National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NSSA) Space Data Analyst Shaima Shawqi Al-Mir has won the ‘Innovative Woman of the Year – Under 35’ award during the 4th Inspirational International. Women’s Awards 2023, organized by the GISR Foundation in recognition of women’s commitment, courage and confidence across geographical dimensions and borders.


The Shaima Al Meer Bridge Foundation honored her for being a pioneer in the field of data analysis and information technology, as well as a young Bahraini social activist who made a positive change in her generation and in society with her innovative ideas and strong determination. Thanks to her dedication and hard work, Al Mir deserved the Best Innovator of the Year 2023.


The Senior Space Data Analyst at NSSA expressed her deep pride in her achievement which adds to her previous achievements, including her success in winning the title of “Bahrain Pioneer in Technology”. She added that she is known as “the first female robot programmer in the Kingdom of Bahrain”.


She stressed that the international award confirms the distinguished ability of Bahraini women to achieve outstanding achievements and bring about positive changes in their society.


In his comment, the Authority’s CEO, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Asiri, congratulated Shaima Al-Meer for her well-deserved achievement, through which she contributed to strengthening the image of the Kingdom, and confirming the unlimited support enjoyed by women in Bahrain, which enabled them to shine in various fields.
