Manama, March 16 (BNA) Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Asiri, CEO of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), received Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain Essen Shkeil.
They reviewed issues related to space affairs and discussed cooperation in related fields to serve the two countries’ goals in this field.
The ambassador expressed her admiration for the level of services provided by the National Space Science Authority, praising the successful investment in Bahraini youth in the space sector. She praised the authority’s support for empowering Bahraini women and enhancing the authority’s reputation at the international level.
She was briefed on the authority and its most prominent activities and projects, including the “Light-1” satellite, and the ways in which it supports international efforts to better understand Earth’s gamma rays.
