NSSA participates in IAC

Manama, October 26 (BNA) The National Space Science Agency (NSSA) participated in the 72nd session of the International Astronautical Conference (IAC) hosted by the United Arab Emirates and organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC). In cooperation with the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).

It is considered the largest and most important event in the space sector at the international level, and it is the first global conference for this specialty in the Arab region.

The advisor of the National Space Authority, Dr. Muhammad Al-Othman, and a number of space engineers participated in the conference with their scientific papers and representatives of the Bahrain team participating in the International Space Camp in cooperation with the Keelman International Foundation.

This edition of the conference saw the decision to accept Bahrain, represented by the NSSA, as a full member of the IAF. It is a new achievement and an important step towards achieving one of the objectives of the Agency’s Strategic Plan 2019-2023. Their approval reflects the good reputation of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Asiri, CEO of the National Social Security Authority, who headed the Kingdom’s delegation, said.

Al-Asiri indicated that the conference will be held this year under the slogan (inspiration, creativity and discovery for the benefit of humanity), noting that the authority participated in a scientific paper in which it reviewed its capabilities, expertise and contribution. and innovations in the space sector.
