November National exports total BD350 million

Manama, Dec. 26 (BNA): The Information and e-Government Authority issued its report on foreign trade for the month of November, which contains data on the trade balance, imports, exports (national origin) and re-exports.


According to the report, the value of imports decreased by 3%, reaching 440 million dinars during November 2022, compared to 453 million dinars for the same month of the previous year.


The top ten countries accounted for 70% of the value of imports, while the remaining countries accounted for 30%.


China ranked first with regard to imports with a total value of 57 million dinars, the UAE ranked second with 45 million dinars, and Brazil ranked third with 44 million dinars.


Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates emerged as the best product imported to Bahrain with a total value of 50 million Bahraini dinars, while aluminum oxide came in second place with 34 million Bahraini dinars, and gold ingots in third place with 18 million Bahraini dinars.


The report indicates a decrease in the value of exports of national origin by 14%, to reach 350 million dinars during November 2022, compared to 406 million dinars for the same month of the previous year.


The top ten countries in terms of the value of exports of national origin accounted for 73% of the total value, while the remaining countries accounted for 27%.


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first among the countries receiving Bahraini exports of national origin, as it imported 75 million Bahraini dinars from Bahrain.

The United States came second with 47 million dinars, and the United Arab Emirates came third with 31 million dinars.


Unwrought aluminum ingots emerged as the best exported products during November 2022 with a value of 92 million BD, agglomerated iron ores and blended concentrates came in second place with a value of 54 million BD, and urea, whether in an aqueous solution or not, came in the third place with a value of 28 million BD Bahraini.


The total value of re-exports increased by 30% to reach 64 million Bahraini dinars during November, compared to 49 million Bahraini dinars for the same month of the previous year.


The top ten countries accounted for 90% of the re-export value, while the remaining countries accounted for 10%.


The UAE came first with 14.1 million dinars, Saudi Arabia second with 14 million dinars, and Singapore third with 7 million dinars.


Aircraft spare parts came first in terms of re-exporting aircraft spare parts from Bahrain with a value of 10 million Bahraini dinars, non-precious metal wristwatches came in second place with a value of 4 million Bahraini dinars, and other fasteners and similar fixtures for vehicles came in the third place with a value of 3 million Bahraini dinar.


As for the trade balance, which is the difference between exports and imports, it registered a deficit of 26 million Bahraini dinars in November, compared to a surplus of 2 million Bahraini dinars.
