Nomination deadline for HRH Princess Sabeeka’s award extended

Manama, September 1 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Women announced the extension of the nomination deadline for Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for the advancement of Bahraini women until September 15.

This step comes in the wake of the increasing number of participants from public and private sector institutions and civil society, as well as individuals with recognized contributions in the field of women’s empowerment, embracing their issues and integrating their needs into national affairs.

On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women and chairperson of the award committee, Hala Al-Ansari, said that the deadline has been extended by two weeks as a result of the increasing number of institutions wishing to shed light on the outcomes of their plans and policies. Increasing women’s participation and addressing gender balance gaps, noting that the award winners will be announced during the Kingdom’s celebrations of Bahraini Women’s Day 2022.

Al-Ansari pointed out that the importance of the award is increasing in light of the remarkable success of the previous sessions, adding that it contributed to highlighting inspiring success stories in the field of women’s advancement, which reflects the excellence of Bahrain’s experience in the field of women.

The award aims to honor the efforts of public and private institutions, civil society organizations and individuals in promoting the advancement of Bahraini women.
