Cholpon-Ata, July 24 (BNA): The third edition of the World Backpacker Fashion Festival in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan, a special platform to celebrate and promote traditional knowledge, culture and history of clothing, has concluded at a high level. note.


The festival at Rukh-Urdu Cultural Center was attended by famous designers, artisans and fashion industry professionals from around 20 countries.


Nazira Begem, founder and organizer of the project, emphasized the great support from the state.


“This exhibition is one of the largest projects aimed at developing the national costume industry in Kyrgyzstan,” Nazeera, a journalist and social activist, was quoted by the local Kabar News Agency as saying.


Within four years, the project, in cooperation with more than 50 countries, achieved success in the fashion industry, revived forgotten traditions, crafts and cultures of clothing, introduced the world to Kyrgyz clothing, visited many countries with the work of local designers.


It is the first and only project in Asia and Europe, which promotes the culture of nomadic civilization.


In 2020, according to the conclusions of the International Silk Road Association (France, Morocco), the festival was recognized as the third most important project in the world for the promotion of national clothing.
