Manama, August 24 / BNA / The Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding) and its operating companies have successfully concluded the summer training program for youth, Empower,


With a commemorative event hosted by the group and attended by the management teams and students.


Empower was launched to give university students the opportunity to explore and train in various fields in the oil and gas sector.


Through this program, students gained valuable practical work experience in some of the leading companies in the nogaholding group, including Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Bahrain Aircraft Refueling Company (BAFCO), Arab Shipbuilding and Repairing Company (ASRY), Tatweer Petroleum and Bahrain National Gas (Banagas) and the Gulf


Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).


“The Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Action and Youth Affairs, has always been a strong advocate for youth empowerment,” said Mark Thomas, CEO of the nogaholding Group.


“His vision puts youth at the forefront of economic development, and we at nogaholding are committed to achieving this vision by including training and development opportunities like Empower as core elements of our operations. We are proud of the accomplishments of each student in this program, and we look forward to seeing them achieve great things as they enter the workforce.”


The programme, which has trained nearly 200 students, ran through July and August and comes in line with the group’s commitment to investing in the Kingdom’s future by training a strong group of future industry leaders and developing their professional and technical skills. .
