Manama, Mar. 21 (BNA): The President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, received the official for international religious freedoms at the US State Department, Daniel Nadel.
Al-Derazi affirmed that the advancement of human rights and religious freedom in Bahrain is guaranteed by the constitution and relevant laws.
He said that the practice of religion falls within the framework of equality in public and personal freedoms without discrimination on the basis of race, language, religion or gender.
The US official stressed the importance of the role of the National Institution for Human Rights in promoting human rights and basic freedoms, wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
