Manama, November 8 (BNA) President of the National Institution for Human Rights Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi received a delegation from the Human Rights Commission of the Russian Federation headed by Ms. Tatiana Moskalkova.
Al-Darazi noted the importance of activating the memorandum of understanding recently signed between the two sides, starting to exchange information and technical cooperation, and working on holding events and training programs to introduce human rights concepts and principles at various local, national and regional levels.
Moskalkova thanked the head of the National Institution for Human Rights for giving her the opportunity to learn about the institution’s role in protecting human rights and its efforts in promoting human rights in the Kingdom, in cooperation with its local partners.
Moskalkova invited the NHRI to be a permanent observer member at the annual meetings of the annual meetings of the Eurasian Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions. He also invited the Foundation to participate in the international scientific and practical conference “Problems of protecting human rights in the Eurasia region” through the exchange of best practices.
