NIHR President reviews cooperation with Bangladesh ambassador

Manama, November 15 (BNA) The President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi, received the Ambassador of Bangladesh, Dr. Muhammad Nasr Al-Islam.

The two sides reviewed issues of common interest, especially with regard to supporting and enhancing expatriates’ enjoyment of their rights guaranteed to them under the provisions of the Constitution and relevant international and regional agreements.

Al-Darazi discussed the contacts and follow-up carried out by the National Institution for Human Rights with expatriate workers in order to preserve their rights.

The meeting also reviewed the strengthening of cooperation and coordination to unify efforts in the areas related to expatriate labor and human rights.

The ambassador valued the Foundation’s humanitarian efforts towards expatriate workers, praising the measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide the appropriate environment for expatriates during the outbreak of the pandemic.
