NIHR participates in GANHRI meeting

Geneva, March 16 (BNA): The President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, and the Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Institute, Yasser Ghanem Shaheen, participated in the annual meeting of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions. Al-Janhari).

The meeting witnessed an exchange between all regional networks on best practices on “torture and ill-treatment: the role of national human rights institutions”, to be included in the 14th International Conference against Torture, to be held next November. In addition to granting accreditation certificates to a number of national human rights institutions that obtained accreditation (A) in 2021 and 2022.
