NIHR hails HM King’s support on its 12th anniversary

Manama, November 10 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights celebrated the 12th anniversary of its founding.

The President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi, expressed his appreciation for the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the National Institution for Human Rights and the royal directives to develop the human rights system in line with the Paris Principles.

Al-Darazi affirmed that Bahrain continues its approach in preserving human rights in a way that guarantees security for all citizens.

He emphasized that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation continued to protect and promote human rights in accordance with the law of its establishment.

The President called for the importance of concerted efforts to contribute to the implementation of human rights principles, through cooperation with official agencies, civil society institutions and the private sector to achieve the humanitarian vision of His Majesty the King calling for tolerance, coexistence and mutual respect. Acceptance of the other and understanding between religions, races and sects.
