Manama, March 23 (BNA): The Prisons and Detention Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights paid an unannounced visit to the Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Jaw, based on the broad mandate granted to the National Institution for Human Rights. The delegation of the National Institution for Human Rights visited the medical clinic and was briefed on the health care services provided to the inmates there. The Ministry of Health oversees the clinic and services.

She also visited the inmate’s shop and looked at the available goods and their prices.

The members of the delegation also visited some buildings, where they met a number of inmates and were briefed on their observations on living conditions and medical care.

The National Institution for Human Rights indicated that it will prepare a report on the visit, including observations and recommendations, and send it to the competent authority, to ensure that inmates enjoy all the rights granted to them in accordance with what is stated in international charters and treaties and national legislation. related to human rights.
