Oran, July 5 (BNA): The Bahraini athletics team won six medals on the first day of the fifteenth Arab Games held in Oran, Algeria.
Bontu Robitu, Marta Yota, and Dawit Fikadu outperformed their opponents, taking three gold medals repeatedly in the 5,000m (women), 1,500m (men) and 10,000m (men).
Mahmoud Abdel-Rahman won the silver medal in the men’s throw, achieving 19.17 meters. Roselda Dumongol and Fatima Mubarak each took silver medals, respectively, in the 5000m and the women’s long jump.
