Social Development Minister receives UN Resident Coordinator Office

Manama, June 26 (BNA): Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, received the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bahrain, Khalid Abdul Salam Al-Maqoud.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the ministry and the United Nations office.

The minister praised the efforts of the United Nations office and the technical support provided in the development and social fields.

The meeting also touched on the development and social programs offered by the Ministry to various segments of Bahraini society in partnership with public, private and civil institutions.

Al-Maqoud expressed his appreciation for the ministry’s development initiatives and stressed keenness to enhance cooperation to achieve sustainable development.
