Vatel Bahrain, Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa sign MoU 

Manama, July 23 (BNA): Director General of the Vatel School of Hospitality and Tourism, Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Marco den Ouden, Director General of Jumeirah Bay Bahrain Resort & Spa, signed a memorandum of understanding to provide training opportunities for university students and enhance cooperation in the fields of hospitality and tourism.

Sheikh Khaled affirmed Vatel’s commitment to providing various training opportunities for students in major hotels and resorts in Bahrain, especially Jumeirah Bahrain Bay Resort & Spa.

He pointed out that the memorandum of understanding will enable students to acquire academic and practical skills, leading to professional participation in the tourism, hospitality and hotel sectors, especially since the Jumeirah Bay Bahrain Resort and Spa offers a unique beach experience that reflects the diversity in the hotel sector.

Sheikh Khalid said that experts specialized in the tourism, hospitality and hotel sectors will train students and provide them with the expertise needed by the labor market.

He praised Jumeirah Bahrain Bay Resort & Spa for its potential in the hotel and hospitality industry and recognized it as one of the distinguished resorts in Bahrain.

Al-Odan praised the efforts of Fatel Bahrain and the competencies of its students. He stressed that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will greatly enhance cooperation between the college and the resort by providing students with distinguished academic and practical experiences.

He noted the important role played by the college in achieving Bahrain’s tourism strategy 2022-2026 in line with Bahrain Vision 2030.

Odin pointed out that the college has provided the Bahraini labor market with skilled professionals and competencies in the fields of hotels, tourism and hospitality.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Vatel Bahrain and Jumeirah Bay Bahrain Resort & Spa is expected to contribute to the professional growth of students in the hospitality and tourism sectors through practical training opportunities and strengthening cooperation between the two entities.
