HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman attends the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of AUBH   

Manama, May 19 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today witnessed the graduation ceremony of the first cohort from the American University of Bahrain at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, which was held under his patronage.


His Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to investing in education as part of the comprehensive development agenda, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


His Highness congratulated the graduates and praised their efforts and perseverance in completing their studies, wishing them success in their future endeavors and serving the Kingdom.


His Highness handed certificates to the graduates, while the outstanding students received the “Best Academic Achievement” award from Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), Eskan Bank and Batelco (Bahrain Telecom Company).


These awards were presented to outstanding students Razan Al-Huwaider, a graduate of the College of Business and Administration, Maryam Al-Nashet, a graduate of the College of Engineering, and Sheikha Al-Hanouf Al-Khalifa, a graduate of the College of Media and Design, respectively.


For his part, the President of the American University in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Bradley J. Cook, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman for sponsoring the university’s first graduation ceremony.


Dr. Cook noted that the university aims to achieve its goalso Providing students with an integrated American educational system in line with regional and international standards.

Dr. Cook affirmed the university’s commitment to further developing its wide-ranging goals, adding that AUB is among the few universities in the GCC and Middle East region accredited by US institutions.


Bahrain’s Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, emphasized that the university’s first commencement ceremony demonstrates its commitment to a high level of quality education. In this regard, he referred to the academic developments at the university, especially the adoption of new academic programs in line with the directives of the Higher Education Council and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.


The ceremony was also attended by a number of senior officials.
