Cairo, June 10 (BNA): Dr. Mariam Athbi Al-Jalahma, CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority, participated in the second African medical exhibition and conference, “Africa Health”, which is being held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. June 6-9.



The four-day 2023 edition will be attended by healthcare stakeholders from government organizations and major international corporations.



And held d. Jalama held a meeting with the head of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, Dr. Tamer Essam, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two countries, developing trade exchange and encouraging health investment.



The two sides discussed means of exchanging experiences with the Bahraini side in the areas of monitoring medical preparations and focusing on the efforts exerted to continue improving quality at the level of the health care sector in both countries.



Dr. Al-Jalahma also met with CEOs and representatives of five companies specialized in the medical supplies industry, especially those related to the field of laboratories, and who expressed their desire to invest in Bahrain as a gateway to the GCC markets. .



It was agreed during the meetings that the CEOs and representatives of these companies will visit the Kingdom next October, in coordination with the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement.
