Manama, July 12 (BNA): The Secretary General of the Bahrain Football Association, Rashid Al Zaabi, announced the selection of Argentine football coach Juan Antonio Pizzi as the new coach of the Bahrain national football team.
The BFA board approved Pizzi as head coach of the national team after considering various options and reviewing the credentials of other coaches.
The executive management of the federation, based on instructions from the president of the federation, Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the deputy chairman of the board of directors, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, prepared a preliminary agreement for Pizzi’s contract with the Bahraini national team training federation in his capacity as president of the federation. The procedures are currently underway after the parties agree on the terms and conditions of the contracts.
Al Zaabi stated that the coach is scheduled to arrive in Bahrain in the second half of July to sign his contract and start preparations for the team.

He added that Pizzi will be at the head of the technical management of the national team, along with an assistant to the technical staff, who will be contracted based on Pizzi’s recommendation.
The Secretary-General confirmed that the training staff will consist of qualified sports professionals who support the coach’s vision and technical approach. He also wished Pizzi and his team success in their upcoming stint with the national team.
He emphasized that the coach’s impressive resume and knowledge of Asian football made him the preferred choice to lead the national team.
Through this agreement, the federation aims to build on Bahrain’s football record and lead it to further success.
