Chinese premier meets U.S. climate envoy

BEIJING, July 19 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with US Presidential Climate Envoy John Kerry.

“China and the United States are two important countries in the world, and their enhanced cooperation will not only benefit each other, but also benefit the whole world,” Li said.

Xinhua reported that Kerry said the United States hopes the US-China relations will remain stable.

“The United States is ready to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly address climate change and other pressing global challenges,” Kerry added.
