Passengers crossing King Fahd Causeway urged to adhere to travel regulations

Manama, June 28 (BNA): Passengers traveling across the King Fahd Causeway in both directions are required to obtain the required documents and abide by the regulations applied by the authorities that manage the strategic artery.

The King Fahd Causeway Authority made the call due to the high population density on the bridge during Eid al-Adha, which may impede traffic or disrupt the crossing lanes.

A statement issued by the center said that Bahraini citizens are required to bring original identity cards, which are valid for at least three months, or carry a passport, with a validity of not less than three months.

Domestic workers accompanying Bahraini nationals must have valid residency permits, valid passports, exit and return visas must be obtained, as well as medical insurance when entering Saudi Arabia.

Residents wishing to travel between Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must hold a valid residence permit and a passport, provided that its validity is not less than six months, and an exit and re-entry visa is issued electronically.

All passengers must carry the documents of the vehicle they are traveling in when crossing the bridge. These include a valid driving license for the driver of the vehicle, a valid vehicle ownership certificate (form), or a certificate of authorization from the original owner of the vehicle certified by the relevant authorities.

The statement stressed the importance of pre-insuring the vehicle to avoid waiting, in addition to benefiting from the electronic payment services provided through the “Al-Jisr” application.
