Foreign Minister receives outgoing Indian ambassador

Manama, June 15 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received today the outgoing Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava.

He praised the diplomatic efforts of the ambassador in strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries and achieving common interests. He wished him all the best in his new assignment.

The Indian ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and all officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the support they provided him during his tenure, wishing Bahrain more growth and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Rami Saleh and Rikat Al-Adwan, Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, and Dr. Sheikha Munira bint Khalifa. Al Khalifa, Head of the Protocol Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Salah Mohamed Shehab, and Head of the Asia and Pacific Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Fatima Abdullah Al-Daen.
