UoB hosts Bahrain Teachers College’s graduation ceremony

Manama, June 18 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the University of Bahrain hosted today, in the presence of the Minister of Education and the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Among the trustees of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, is the graduation ceremony of the Bahrain Teachers College for the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh batches (2017-2018 to 2019-2020).

The graduation ceremony for the Educational Leadership Program (ELP), Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) will be held at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the University of Bahrain on Sunday and Monday. .

In a speech delivered at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Education expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his unwavering support for the education sector and its subsidiaries, given its importance as a pillar of development and a major tributary of progress.

His Highness praised His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and said that his continuous support contributed to achieving national goals in this vital sector.

Dr. Jumaa also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Special Representative of His Majesty the King, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, for his special support for the Vocational Training Center, which was established to meet the Kingdom’s needs for qualified national educational competencies.

The minister indicated that the graduation ceremony coincides with the success of the College of Commerce and Industry in obtaining international accreditation from the American Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (CAEP) for a period of seven years, between 2023 and 2030, noting that global achievement gives additional academic achievement. value of its programs and outputs.

Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Juma congratulated all graduates, parents, members of the board of directors and administrative staff for their efforts in providing an appropriate environment conducive to success, appreciating the faculty members for their endeavors in preparing qualified teachers.

He revealed that 11 batches, or 3,992 students, have graduated from BTC since its inception in 2008, indicating that the Ministry of Education will expedite the recruitment of the new batch of graduates.

After that, the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al-Ansari, and Acting Dean of the College of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Lucy Bailey, delivered statements in which they congratulated the graduates for their hard work, wishing them continued success in serving the Kingdom and its leadership.

After that, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Awadi and Hanan Ali Al-Saboudi delivered statements on behalf of the graduates, in Arabic and English, respectively.

After that, a documentary about the history and achievements of BTC was shown.

Subsequently, the Minister of Education honored the members of the BTC Board of Directors and handed certificates to the graduates.
