Manama, July 11 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), praised the success of Real Madrid Club. The academy won the third place and won the award for the best team during the Alma Cup.


With the support of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the tournament was organized by the Real Madrid Foundation in Real Madrid City.


Real Madrid academies in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Austria, Egypt, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Jordan and Bahrain participated in the tournament.


And the Secretary-General of the Red Reina Foundation, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, received the players of the Real Madrid Club Academy, and conveyed to them the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Nasser and his congratulations on their distinguished results, and His Highness’s wishes for them success and success.


Dr. El-Sayed stressed that the academy is an important club that can provide clubs and national federations with players, expressing his hope that the players will be able to join professional clubs in European leagues.


The Secretary-General of the Rowena Charitable Foundation honored the players for their outstanding achievements, and encouraged them to continue honoring the Kingdom in various sports gatherings.


During the tournament, in which Bahrain participated for the first time, Adnan Aqil won the award for best player in three matches, while Youssef Al-Sabbagh won the award for best goalkeeper, and Ali Abdelnabi was the best scorer for the team with 14 goals.


The player, Ali Abdel Nabi, delivered a statement on behalf of his teammates, in which he expressed his sincere thanks to His Highness Sheikh Nasser for his continuous support for sporting achievements during the “Year of Gold” which was praised by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.


The tournament included various side events, such as field visits to tourist sites and competitions in Madrid.


The participating teams were also allowed to introduce their countries.
