HM King issues decree 51/2023, on restructuring Education Ministry

Manama, June 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Decree No. (51) for the year 2023 to reconfigure the Ministry of Education based on the proposal of the Minister of Education and after the approval of the Council of Ministers.

According to the decree, the Ministry of Education was restructured as follows:

Minister of Education, who will oversee:

First: Communications Directorate

Second: Evaluation and Performance Directorate

Third: Risk Assessment and Legal Affairs Department

Fourth: Director General of Schools Affairs, with specialization in the following:

1- Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Services, who supervises:

a. Student Services Directorate

B. Community Partnership Directorate

c. Directorate of Physical Education

2- The Assistant Undersecretary for Education Affairs, who supervises:

a. Directorate of educational operations in the region (1).

B. Directorate of educational operations in the region (2).

c. Directorate of educational operations in the region (3).

Dr.. Directorate of educational operations in the region (4).

Fifth: Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies and Performance Affairs, supervising:

1- Assistant Undersecretary for the development of teaching and learning policies, and supervising:

a. Directorate of Policies and Curriculum Development

B. Directorate of Educational Policies and Development

2- Assistant Undersecretary for Strategies and Performance, supervising:

A- Directorate of Strategic Planning

B- Directorate of Licensing and Follow-up of Private Schools

C- Directorate of Licensing and Follow-up of Early Education

3- Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, who supervises:

A- Human Resources Directorate

B. Financial Resources Directorate

c. Services Directorate

Dr.. Directorate of Information Systems

Royal Decree No. 85/2020 restructuring the Ministry of Education is repealed.

The Minister of Education shall implement the provisions of this decree, and it shall come into effect immediately, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
