Connecting 316 new properties to sanitary water network in the first half of 2023

Manama, July 20 (BNA): The Ministry of Works has connected 316 new residential and commercial properties to the sewage water network in various governorates during the first half of 2023.

The Ministry affirmed its commitment to continue expanding this basic service to keep pace with the ongoing urban development.

Engineer Fathi Abdullah Al-Farea, Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering at the Ministry, explained that the connection works were carried out in various residential complexes in all four governorates, including Block 1209 in Hamad Town, Block 1019 in Damistan, Block 210 in Muharraq, and Block 912 in East Riffa.

He said the ministry is simultaneously implementing several healthy water network projects, including Hamad Town 1205, Muharraq Oasis, Qalali Oasis, Jari Al-Sheikh 924 and Sitra 609.

The Ministry continues its efforts to connect real estate to the sewage water network as part of its strategy to provide this service that contributes to promoting public health and cleanliness while preventing health risks that may arise from sewage overflow, by directing it to the sewage network instead of septic tanks.

Individuals, private sector establishments, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations interested in connecting residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to the wastewater network may submit their requests through the Ministry’s website, www.works.gov.bh.
