San Salvador, July 10 (BNA): Today, Sunday, the Salvadoran political party, Nievas Aideas, chose President Nayib Bukele as a candidate for the presidential elections in early 2024.
Reuters reported that Bukele, whose first term began in 2019, said in September last year he would seek re-election.
The president – who has the support of 70% of Salvadorans in the 2024 election – and his vice president, Felix Ulloa, still need to register as candidates with the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) to formalize their candidacy.
