Four killed, 10 injured at Moscow mall after hot water pipe bursts

Moscow, July 23 (BNA): Four people were killed and 10 others were injured today, Saturday, after a hot water pipe exploded in a shopping center west of Moscow, according to officials.

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said some of the injured had burns and emergency services were working at the scene, Reuters reported.

Russian news agencies quoted investigators as saying there was no ammonia leak at the site, as had been suspected for some time.

Known as Vremena Goda (The Seasons), the mall was opened in 2007 and has more than 150 shops.

“We provide medical assistance to all the victims,” ​​Sobyanin said.
