Rabat, June 21 (BNA): Information Minister Dr. Ramadan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi participated today in the 53rd regular session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.


In a speech before the session, the minister said that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, supports all efforts for development. Arab national action, keen on the importance of Arab solidarity to protect the security of Arab countries and peoples.


He called for a comprehensive Arab media vision that meets the requirements of the times and keeps pace with the steps of media and communication, amid accelerating digitization and burgeoning artificial intelligence, in a way that supports the development of the media industry and enhances its influential role in supporting various Arab causes. .


Dr. Al-Nuaimi stressed the importance of the topics on the council’s agenda, especially media support for the Palestinian cause, the modernized Arab media strategy and the implementation plan, stressing the importance of drawing an Arab media roadmap for sustainable development 2030.


He also stressed the importance of environmental media, stressing the need for the media to focus on the pioneering efforts made by Arab countries in the areas of development and environmental preservation.


He said that Bahrain’s hosting of the 2024 Arab Summit reflects the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to support Arab action and solidarity to advocate for Arab causes and confront current challenges.


He referred to the council’s decision to declare Manama the “Arab Media Capital 2024,” which reflects Bahrain’s prominent media and cultural status, as well as the conditions that support creativity.


He said that the Kingdom of Bahrain will continue to work tirelessly to advance the media in a way that serves the causes of the Arab nation and promotes joint Arab action in all sectors.


Dr. Al-Nuaimi praised the Kingdom of Morocco for hosting the meetings and providing all facilities that reflect its commitment to supporting Arab action.


The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the fifty-fourth session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers in 2024.
