World population hit over 8 billion in July 2023

Cairo, July 12 (BNA): The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced that the world population reached 8.05 billion on July 1, according to United Nations estimates.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics said in a statement on World Population Day, which falls on July 11, that nearly 1.2 billion of the world’s population live in the most developed countries, while about 6.7 billion people live in the least developed countries. (MENA) reported.

The world population is expected to reach 8.9 billion by mid-2035 and 9.7 billion by mid-2050.
