UNA to hold Global Media Congress workshop

Jeddah, July 9 (BNA): The Federation of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) is preparing to host a virtual workshop for news agencies to introduce the World Media Conference on July 13, in cooperation with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and Abu Dhabi. National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC).

The workshop will present the second edition of the event in Abu Dhabi on November 14 and 16, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidency. court.

In addition, the workshop will highlight opportunities for news agencies participating in the conference, such as booking exhibition space and side events.

The Director-General of the United Nations Federation, Muhammad Al-Yami, said that the workshop comes within the framework of the federation’s keenness to enhance participation among member news agencies during international media events, which will help enhance their performance and modernize their tools.

The workshop, which is the first event of its kind in the region, will also provide an opportunity for member news agencies to exchange ideas, especially in light of the rapid developments in the media sector.

Al-Yami said that the workshop will also shed light on the efforts of the member news agencies, most notably WAM, and their great efforts in organizing similar major media events.

The World Media Conference, in its second edition, focuses on three themes: environmental media, media education and innovation, and sports media.

After launching a successful edition, this year’s event will play a more significant role in facilitating business contacts globally and promoting brand reinvention in the new media landscape.
