NSSA praises international achievement of its Data Analyst

Manama, Sept. 20 (BNA): Aisha Al Hajri, Space Data Analyst at the National Space Science Authority (NSSA), received the Special Achievement in Geographic Information Systems (SAG) Award presented by Esri in San Diego, US.

 

Al Hajri received the award for her innovative use of mapping and geographic analysis technology, as well as her leadership in the field of space science and technology.

 

“I am proud to receive this award, which aims to show appreciation to institutions from various countries that use Geographic Information System (GIS) technology for their ability to absorb huge amounts of space data and harness geospatial technologies to solve the problems we face on Earth,” Al Hajri said.

 

Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the NSSA, said that Al Hajri’s achievement is considered a result of the government’s efforts and the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in placing Bahrain among the ranks of countries leading in the space sector.

 

“The authority is keen to support all its members to develop their capabilities and develop their skills in all fields related to its work to serve all sectors in the Kingdom,” Al Aseeri added.

 

Esri is a global leading company in GIS Mapping Software, Location Intelligence & Spatial Analytics. The company was founded in 1969 in California, USA, and its software is deployed in hundreds of thousands of organizations globally, including government agencies, non-profit institutions, higher education institutions and research centres.
