Manama, June 12 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out five joint inspection campaigns.
The campaigns were held in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and the Public Authority for Social Insurance in the capital, Muharraq and the northern governorates.
The inspections included visits to a number of shops and work sites to determine the extent of compliance with laws and regulations in order to maintain the competitiveness, stability and productivity of the labor market.
The five joint inspection campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority renews its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations through the electronic form on the Authority’s website.
