Manama, Jan. 8 (BNA): The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that the monthly issue of the Sukuk Al Salam Islamic securities has been oversubscribed by 372%.
Subscriptions worth BD 159.763 million were received for the BD 43 million issue, which carries maturity of 91 days.
The expected return on the issue, which begins on January 10 and matures on April 10 is 6.35%, equivalent to the previous issue on December 13, 2023.
The Sukuk Al Salam is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.
This is issue No.273 (BH000A881796) of the short-term Sukuk Al Salam series.
