Manama, Jan. 8 (BNA): Bahrain All Share Index closed at 1,983.71 points, marking an increase of 5.36 points above the previous closing.
This increase was due to the rise in the communication service sector and the financial sector.
Bahrain lslamic Index closed at 741.98 points, marking an increase of 3.63 points above the previous closing.
Results indicated that 94 equity transactions took place with a volume of 3,977,309 worth BD 1,495,018.
Investors traded mainly in the material sector, representing 74.44% of the total value of securities traded.
