Manama, June 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, at Sakhir Palace, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard Staff Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Colonel Staff His Highness Sheikh. Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and Minister of the Royal Court, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.


The meeting focused on domestic issues and mainly highlighted comprehensive development and ways to enhance national achievements.


His Majesty the King praised the efforts of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in serving the Kingdom of Bahrain, enhancing its international standing, enhancing its competitiveness, and supporting its initiatives to pursue development paths.


He also praised the pioneering projects accomplished by the government in all fields that serve the momentum of development in the country and meet the aspirations of citizens.


He praised Bahrain’s youth and sports steps taken by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which contributed to outstanding achievements in various team and individual games.


His Majesty the King praised the Bahrain Defense Force for winning the third place in the competition for the best international sniper team / 3, which was held in the Republic of Turkey with the participation of 32 international teams. Organized by the Royal Military College Sandhurst, UK.


He also praised the Ministry of Interior winning first place in the World Military Step Measuring Stick Championship for the tenth time, which was organized by the Royal Military College Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.


He praised the Manama Club for winning the Super West Asian Basketball Championship, and Al-Najma Club, which won the 25th Asian Clubs Handball Championship.


His Majesty the King said that these achievements reflect the constant keenness of Bahrainis and their strong determination to enhance the position of their country in all regional and international forums.
