HH Shaikh Nasser mourns Bahrain Victorious cyclist, Gino Mäde

Manama, June 16 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, offered his deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the victorious Bahrain team after the death of the cyclist. Swiss Gino Mäde, as a result of a very serious accident during the fifth stage of the Tour de Suisse.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser published the news of the death of the late victorious Bahrain team, along with his photo, on his Instagram account.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser recalled the contributions of the late cyclist to the positive results of the team throughout his career with him, pointing to his success in winning the sixth stage of the Italian cycling race.


Team Bahrain Victorious issued a statement mourning the late cyclist, providing details of the tragic accident.


“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of Gino Mader. On Friday June 16th, after a very serious crash during stage 5 of the Tour de Suisse, Gino lost his battle to recover from the serious injuries he sustained.
