WCO members hail Customs President’s efforts

Brussels, June 25 (BNA): The President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, presided over his last meeting of the Committee on General Policies of the World Customs Organization as Chairman of the Council of the World Customs Organization in Brussels.

He thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support during the Kingdom’s presidency of the World Customs Organization.

The Chief of Customs also expressed his thanks and gratitude to Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for his support, and praised the cooperation of the member states of the World Customs Organization and their work during the past three years during the COVID-19 pandemic to face the challenges facing them. Securing borders and protecting supply chains.

WCO members praised the efforts of the head of customs and his dedication to achieving the goals of the organization through the implementation of many projects and initiatives and his adoption of the COVID-19 project to enhance security and sustainability.
