Manama. June 21 (BNA): Minister of Legal Affairs, Yousef bin Abdul Hussein Khalaf, stressed the role played by civil society institutions concerned with human rights and legal issues in the Kingdom, noting their contribution to spreading the culture of human rights, spreading legal awareness and educating citizens of their rights and duties.
This came during the minister’s speech during his meeting with Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Al-Tayeb, President of the Bahraini Jurists’ Association, along with members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Journalists Syndicate, Member of Parliament, Representative Abdullah Al-Rumaihi, and Dr. Hanadi Al-Jowdar.
Minister Khalaf discussed with the delegation ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and BJS on various issues of common interest.
The minister appreciated the role played by the Bahraini Jurists Association in educating members of society about their rights and duties, praising its effective efforts in highlighting the Kingdom’s achievements in raising awareness of human rights.
The head of the Bahraini-Jordanian Society praised the Ministry of Legal Affairs’ constant keenness to enhance cooperation with the Bahraini Jurists Society, stressing the importance of strengthening constructive cooperation in the fields of human rights between the two sides.
