Bahrain, Oman review cooperation in professional and technical sectors

Manama, July 1 (BNA): Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Education and the Nasser Center for Vocational Training met with an Omani delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation to discuss cooperation.


The meeting reviewed the exchange of experiences between the Omani Ministry and NVTC and the development of partnership between the two countries to take advantage of the promising opportunities in the Gulf region for the professional and technical sectors.


This comes after the Omani Ministry of Education announced the provision of vocational and technical education in schools, starting from the next academic year 2023-2024.


Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Center, emphasized the center’s efforts, which focus on supporting various industries and sectors, and providing students with skills that suit the needs of the labor market.


Dr. Al Nuaimi added that the center, with the support and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, seeks to implement Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 by developing specific plans and initiatives that achieve this vision.


He pointed out that the National Vocational Training Center (NVTC), in light of the continuous support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Vocational Training Center (NVTC), offers multiple disciplines such as technological innovation that Includes Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing, the engineering track that combines energy science, engineering, sports and business management.
