Capital Governor chairs Coordination Council meeting

Manama, July 6 (BNA): The Governor of the Capital, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, presided over the last meeting of the Coordination Council in its third session, in the presence of members representing the security and service agencies.

He stressed the governorate’s keenness to assess the needs of citizens and meet their aspirations in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities.
The governor of the capital praised the high level of cooperation between government agencies, both in service and security, as a result of the outputs of the Coordination Council, and urged them to implement the recommendations issued by the periodic meetings held by the governorate.

The council reviewed a presentation by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, on the heritage houses project, while an engineer reviewed the authority’s experience in developing heritage houses, the applicability of the project in the Capital Governorate, and the feasibility of its work.

The council discussed the priorities of the village of Ma’ameer, including the development of the road network, steady progress in afforestation and infrastructure management in accordance with environmental laws. The Council discussed submitting recommendations to the concerned authorities.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Coordination Council presented a plan to develop coordination and follow-up mechanisms. The plan included several points, most notably the formation of sub-committees to study people’s needs, exchange information and launch specific initiatives.
