Industry Ministry starts anti-dumping investigation against exported products from China


Manama, Nov. 26 (BNA): The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)Technical Secretariat Office for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade has initiated antidumping investigations against imports of coated or pre-colored flat, or granular rectangular (including square) sheets, coils, and strips of aluminium from China in order to prevent unfair trade practices.

This comes under the customs item (76061210 – 76061220 – 76061230) of the GCC Unified Customs Tariff (GCC Tariff), according to Law (48) of 2011 approving Antidumping, Countervailing Measures, and Safeguard Measures Rules of Implementation.

The investigation is based on the complaint submitted by the regional industry to the Technical Secretariat Office for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade.

The ministry stated that the purpose of this measure is to support national industries and protect them from harmful practices in international trade.

Importers and manufacturers who wish to participate in the investigation should fill out the required forms and submit them to [email protected] or through telephone numbers +966112551399 and +966112551388 no later than November 30. The required applicants will then be sent and must be filled within a period of 40 days after receiving them.
