Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition features work of late Bahraini artist

Manama, June 12 (BNA): In honor of the distinguished artistic journey of the late Khalil Al Hashemi, the 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition includes a selection of the artist’s most important artworks that transcend cultural barriers.

The exhibition is open to the public until July 10, when, in addition to this year’s entries from local artists, visitors can discover Al Hashemi’s latest creations; Featuring gold pieces, Devji Aurum jewelry is inspired by the late artist.

Al Hashemi is also the designer of the Dana Prize statuette, an award given each year to the exhibition’s first winner.

With the participation of 55 Bahraini and expatriate artists this year, the exhibition displays more than 100 works of paintings, sculptures, installation works, photography and video. They all use a wide variety of materials and techniques and belong to different schools of art.
