New York, July 18 (BNA): Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, and Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Al-Khalif, met with Dr. Hala Al-Sayed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development.
The meeting came on the sidelines of their participation in the High-Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development (HLPF) 2023, which was held in New York under the theme “Accelerating Recovery from Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and Full Implementation of Sustainable Development Standards 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels, with the aim of Presentation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Second Voluntary National Review on Progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Al-Rumaihi highlighted the ministry’s plans to provide housing services to citizens, in addition to the programs launched recently to provide immediate and sustainable housing services.
She noted the progress made in urban planning and development, and the modernization of regulatory standards to serve all sectors in Bahrain.
Al-Khalif reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries to support sustainable development through joint programs and projects and exchange experiences in this field.
Al-Saeed praised the relations between Bahrain and Egypt and affirmed her keenness to enhance cooperation, especially in achieving the goals of sustainable development.
