Streamlined authentication procedure hailed

Manama, June 26 /BNA/: Documentation services will be provided from now on in the diplomatic missions of the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad.

The simplified procedure was endorsed during the weekly cabinet meeting chaired today by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, praised the step that would enhance the quality of electronic service, and ensure efficiency and productivity.

This service, which will be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is among the priorities for developing justice services in accordance with the government’s work program, in order to achieve the requirements of the economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2023.

He stressed the importance of the step, which aims, according to him, to facilitate procedures for citizens, residents and investors while they are abroad, so that they can be used for official use in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He announced the issuance of a decree defining the broad lines of the new service, which will include all types of legal transactions, in a way that contributes to facilitating documentation work for beneficiaries, companies and investment institutions located in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Al-Maawda said that the applicants will be able to receive their approved transactions without the need for a personal presence at the ministry’s headquarters in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

He indicated that the procedure would allow the investment sector to benefit from its facilities outside the Kingdom, and to ratify all types of contracts, including the establishment of companies and real estate purchase and sale deals.
