NSSA CEO, a member in high supervisory committee of New Space Horizon in Africa and the Middle East conference

Manama, July 23 (BNA): The National Space Science Authority announced the selection of its CEO, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Asiri, as a member of the Supreme Supervisory Committee of the conference (New Space Horizons in Africa and the Middle East).

Dr. Al-Asiri was chosen for his contributions to the space sector and his role in serving the space sector at the local, regional and international levels.

His diverse experiences and extensive international relations will contribute to strengthening the work of the supervisory committee and supporting joint Arab action.

The conference is organized by the Egyptian Space Agency (EGSA) during the period from October 31 to November 2 at the Egyptian Space City.

It is considered the first conference specialized in the field of space, with a focus on Africa and the Middle East, as Arab and African space activities have witnessed remarkable growth over the past decade.

The conference will discuss topics of interest to the space sector in the Middle East and Africa, which include space technology, space science challenges, space applications and uses, space policies and sector governance.

It also reviews issues that support international efforts to ensure the sustainability of space and enable everyone to benefit from it.
