Saudi Industry Minister, Japanese counterpart discuss cooperation, investments


Tokyo, Dec. 19 (BNA): Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, who is on an official visit to Japan, met with Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Saito Ken, with whom he discussed means to boost cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors, which provide substantial investment opportunities.

The two sides also discussed the investment environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which offers incentives through laws, regulations and advanced infrastructure in industrial cities.

Alkhorayef is meeting a number of government officials and representatives of major mining companies with the aim of boosting relations and continuing cooperation.

Saudi non-oil exports to Japan totaled SAR3.7 billion in 2022, while imports from Japan reached around SAR25 billion.
