Misr-Sat 2 to be launched in cooperation China in October

Cairo, June 25 (BNA): The official in charge of the “MisrSat 2” satellite project, Ahmed Rifai, revealed the details of launching the satellite in the first week of October, at a cost of $74 million.


He said in remarks to the Middle East and North Africa region on Sunday that the assembly of the satellite was completed in cooperation with China.

The satellite will be sent to China on June 28 in preparation for final tests before launch.


The satellite is the fruit of cooperation between Egypt and China.


The mission of the satellite is to photograph the Egyptian soil to preserve the environment and to do remote sensing.
