National Commission for Childhood wins award

Manama, Dec. 11 (BNA): The National Authority for Childhood in the Kingdom of Bahrain won the Child-Friendly Institutions Award 2022, which was approved by the Arbitration Committee of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, in recognition of its efforts and initiatives in this field. from early childhood.


The award aims to encourage institutions concerned with family issues in the Arab region to raise awareness of the role of the Arab family in preserving social cohesion. It also aims to encourage relevant institutions to promote children’s rights by promoting a culture of respect for children’s rights as inherent rights guaranteed by international conventions and national legislation.


On this occasion, the Minister of Social Development, Chairman of the National Committee for Childhood, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, affirmed that the achievements made by the Kingdom for the child are the result of keenness to achieve maximum achievements in this field and to provide a safe environment for children. In line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
